Cookie Policy
Which cookies and similar technologies this website uses, why, and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels. They can be "first-party" (set by this website) or "third-party" (set by another domain), and "session" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" (kept until they expire or you delete them).
2. Our approach
We designed this website to work without tracking. By default we set only the cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the site and to remember your cookie choices. We do not load analytics, advertising or social media trackers unless you have given your consent through the cookie banner, and at the date of this policy no such tools are in use.
All fonts, scripts and images on the website are served from our own domain. Your visit does not trigger requests to third-party content delivery networks.
3. Cookies we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| aureon_consent | Strictly necessary, first-party | Stores your cookie preferences (accepted or rejected categories, policy version and date) so that the banner is not shown again and your choices are respected. | 12 months |
| aureon_consent (local storage) | Strictly necessary, first-party | Mirror of the consent record used if cookies are blocked, so that your choice is still honoured. | Until cleared |
Categories that can be enabled through the banner
- Strictly necessary. Required for the website to function and to record your preferences. Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics. Would allow us to measure how the website is used in aggregate. No analytics tool is currently deployed. If one is introduced, it will run only with your consent and this policy will be updated with the cookie names, provider and retention.
- Marketing. Would allow personalised content or measurement of campaigns. No marketing technology is currently deployed. The same consent rules apply.
4. Your choices
When you first visit the website, a banner lets you accept all categories, reject all non-essential categories or manage your preferences. You can change your choice at any time by selecting "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the banner may reappear on each visit and some features may not work as intended.
5. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the website and complying with the law. Any non-essential cookie is used only on the basis of your consent, in line with the EU ePrivacy rules, the GDPR and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law. You can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings.
6. Changes
We will update this policy if we introduce new cookies or technologies. The date of the last update is shown below. Where a change requires new consent, the banner will be shown again.
