Intelligence module

Brand Protection & Takedowns

A cloned login page, a fake support number promoted through paid search, an investment scheme using your logo, a counterfeit app in a store. Criminals borrow your brand because it works. This module detects those campaigns early and removes them, with the evidence to pursue them afterwards.

Overview

Impersonation campaigns move fast and across channels. A domain registered on Monday carries a certificate on Tuesday, a cloned page on Wednesday and a paid advertisement targeting your customers on Thursday. By the time complaints reach your call centre, the money is gone.

We monitor the channels where these campaigns are built and advertised, verify each case, and run the takedown operation end to end with registrars, hosting providers, content delivery networks, app stores, social platforms and advertising networks. Every case is documented so that it can support a complaint, a claim or a prosecution.

When to engage us

  • Customers report emails, calls or sites that claim to be you.
  • Your brand appears in paid search results that are not yours.
  • A fraudulent app or marketplace listing imitates your product.
  • An authority or a bank has contacted you about a scheme using your name.
  • You need removal handled end to end, not a list of URLs to chase yourself.
What we watch

Every way your brand is abused, in one view.

Criminals move across channels in the same campaign: a domain, a certificate, a cloned page, an advertisement, a fake support account. We monitor the whole surface so that one detection reveals the full operation.

  • Detection from registrations, certificates, phishing feeds, app stores, ad platforms and user reports.
  • Each case verified by an analyst before anything is sent to a provider.
  • Infrastructure linked across cases to pursue repeat offenders.
Transparent takedowns

A case file, not a list of URLs.

Every takedown is documented from detection to removal, with the evidence captured before the first notice, the parties contacted, their responses and the time each step took. You can follow it live and reuse it in a claim or a complaint.

  • Evidence preserved before notices are sent, so removal never destroys proof.
  • Status visible at every step, from first notice to confirmed removal.
  • Case records ready for CERTs, law enforcement, courts and insurers.

Block and remove

Victims stop arriving in minutes. The source disappears in days.

Removal at the source can take days when a provider is slow. Blocking at the edge, through browsers, security vendors, resolvers and content networks, cuts off victims while removal is in progress.

  • Indicators distributed to blocking partners as soon as a case is verified.
  • Notices and escalations to every provider able to disable the campaign.
  • Repeat infrastructure tracked and pre-emptively blocked.

Why minutes matter

Most victims arrive in the first hours. Detection has to beat them.

Traffic to a phishing page peaks within hours of launch and fades once the message wave is over. A campaign detected at the peak has already done its damage; one blocked within minutes of going live barely registers.

  • Detection from the earliest signals: registration, certificate issuance and first content.
  • Blocking first, removal second, evidence throughout.
  • Time to detect and time to takedown reported per case and per month.

Case files with screenshots, infrastructure, timelines and the notices exchanged, prepared for CERTs, law enforcement, courts and insurers.

Method

How a takedown runs.

1

Detect

A candidate is identified through monitoring or reported by your teams or customers, and verified by an analyst within hours.

2

Document

Screenshots, infrastructure, registrant data, certificate and hosting details are captured and preserved as evidence before any notice is sent.

3

Remove

Notices go to every party able to disable the campaign, with escalations and legal references where providers delay.

4

Close and learn

Removal is confirmed, the case is recorded, your customers and staff are informed if needed and indicators are fed back into monitoring.

Questions we are asked

Frequently asked questions.

How long does a takedown take?

Most phishing pages and fraudulent advertisements are removed within one to three days. Hosting in uncooperative jurisdictions and fraudulent apps can take longer; we escalate and keep you informed at each step.

Do you also handle the legal follow-up?

We prepare the evidence and the formal letters and we notify CERTs and authorities on your behalf when instructed. Litigation remains with your counsel, who receives a file that is ready to use.

Can you protect many brands and countries?

Yes. Scope is defined per brand and market, and campaigns are reported by entity and country so that local teams can act.

What about domains that are registered but not yet active?

Those are handled by our Domain & Email Impersonation Defence module, which watches lookalike domains from registration to activation and advises on defensive registrations and disputes.
