Third-Party & Supply Chain Exposure

Your own domains can be clean while a distributor, a software vendor or a logistics partner holds your data on a device that has already been compromised. This module extends credential, leak-site and attack surface monitoring to the third parties that matter, and gives insurers and brokers the same view across a portfolio.

Overview

Supply chain incidents rarely announce themselves. They begin with a supplier's compromised mailbox, a distributor's exposed credentials for your portal or a vendor listed on a leak site at two in the morning. Questionnaires and certificates do not detect any of that.

We map the third parties that hold your data or reach your systems, monitor their exposure with the same sources and discipline we apply to you, and tell you what to do when something appears: revoke access, change credentials, warn the partner or activate response. For insurers and brokers, the same capability runs across a portfolio of insureds.

When to engage us

  • A supplier or distributor has been breached and you need to know what they held and could reach.
  • Partners log in to your portals and extranets and you cannot see if their credentials are exposed.
  • Your distribution network spans many countries and you need the exposure by market.
  • An insurer or broker wants exposure visibility across a portfolio, before claims occur.
  • Vendor questionnaires are complete and you still have no factual view of partner risk.
What a partner can reach

Your perimeter is only as strong as your weakest supplier's laptop.

Partners log in to your portals, receive your invoices, hold your customers' data and push software into your environment. When one of them is compromised, what they can reach becomes your exposure.

  • Partners tiered by the data they hold and the access they have.
  • Their exposed credentials, leak-site listings and internet exposure monitored like your own.
  • Access scoped, partners warned and response activated when something appears.
What we deliver

What the module covers.

01

Third-party mapping

Identification of the suppliers, distributors, subsidiaries, software vendors and partners that hold your data or access your systems, by country and by criticality.

02

Credential exposure at third parties

Detection of exposed credentials and sessions that belong to your partners' staff and grant access to your portals, extranets, shared drives and collaboration spaces.

03

Leak-site and underground monitoring of partners

Alerts within hours when a third party in scope is listed by an extortion group or discussed in criminal sources.

04

Partner attack surface

Passive review of the internet exposure of critical partners, including services that connect to you.

05

Exposure assessment of a breached partner

When a supplier is compromised, a rapid assessment of what they held, what they could reach and what you must do, with draft notifications for the partner and for your own stakeholders.

06

Access and data flow recommendations

Practical changes to reduce what a compromised partner can reach: segmentation, scoped credentials, expiring access and monitoring of partner identities.

07

Portfolio monitoring for insurers and brokers

Exposure and leak-site monitoring across an insured portfolio, with alerts routed to the insurer, the broker or the insured and aggregated views for underwriting.

08

Onboarding and periodic reviews

Exposure checks before a partner is onboarded and at renewal, as a factual complement to questionnaires.

Method

From a list of suppliers to a managed risk.

1

Map

Third parties identified and tiered by the data they hold and the access they have, with contacts and escalation paths.

2

Monitor

Credential, leak-site and attack surface monitoring applied to the partners in scope.

3

Assess

Each finding assessed for what it means for you, not only for the partner.

4

Act

Access revoked or scoped, partners warned with evidence, response activated when needed and lessons fed into contracts.

Questions we are asked

Frequently asked questions.

Do you need the partner's consent to monitor them?

Monitoring uses sources about exposure, not access to the partner's systems. We agree with you how findings about a partner are shared with them, and we recommend informing critical partners that monitoring is in place.

Can you prioritise which partners to cover?

Yes. Partners are tiered by the data they hold and the access they have. Most programmes start with the top tier and expand as the picture becomes clear.

How does portfolio monitoring work for insurers?

The insurer or broker provides the portfolio, alerts are routed according to agreed rules and aggregate views support underwriting and claims prevention. Insureds can be offered remediation support through our response team.

What if a partner refuses to act?

You receive the evidence and recommendations to decide on access, contractual steps or escalation. Our role is to make the exposure factual and actionable.
